Co-hosts Karen Morrison and Elizabeth Madrigal welcome Judge Sharonda Amamilo in a conversation about pursuing justice in Washington state courts. Judge Amamilo is recognized for being thoughtful, compassionate, and having an impartial perspective. Her goal is to deliver justice while safeguarding the constitutional rights of every citizen. Elected in 2020 to the Thurston County Superior Court, she serves in the Family and Juvenile Court. She spent the prior 12 years at the Thurston County Public Defense office playing a pivotal role in catalyzing systemic change and co-leading transformative initiatives. During her prior military career, she served as an intelligence analyst.

Judge Amamilo is running for Position 5 of the Washington State Supreme Court as a candidate on the ballot for the August 4th, 2026 special election primary.
