Alex hails from Glenwood, Minnesota and from an early age was a fan of Alpha Blondy and the band Culture. Caribbean music became a large part of his life ever since. With the help of many friends and mentors from Jamaica, Trinidad, and all over the globe Alex was able to see and hear a very rich and diverse musical landscape. Previous to hosting on KXRW Alex co-hosted and hosted Caribbean and World Music shows for several years in Minneapolis, MN. He now calls Vancouver home, and has a great appreciation and love for our community..
