The Women’s Mosaic: Ayanna Nance Part 1 4-28-26

Ayanna Nance is a Vancouver‑born nonprofit director whose work is grounded in a deep commitment to recovery, community empowerment, and systems change. Co-hosts Karen Morrison and Elizabeth Madrigal speak with Ayanna about her long‑term recovery from substance use and mental health disorders, and how she draws on her lived experience to support individuals who are newly entering recovery or navigating the challenges of early healing.

Ayanna talks about the transformative power of channeling pain into purpose and uses her voice and leadership to ensure people know they are not alone and that recovery is possible. Through her advocacy, she works to strengthen recovery‑oriented systems of care and advance policies that expand access to the supports individuals need to rebuild their lives.
