Ridgefield Multicultural Initiative Makes History
The Ridgefield Multicultural Festival returns for its ninth year, continuing a tradition that began in 2018 to create a more welcoming community for all residents. This year’s theme centers around the history of Ridgefield and offers opportunities for hands-on participation rather than passive observation. The main feature is a popup museum at the Greeley Building on Pioneer Street. Beyond the museum, the festival sowcases vendors, food, and performaces at Overlook Park.
The festival is put on by the Ridgefield Multicultural Initiative, which is run by a board and a group of dedicated volunteers who do shine a light on the cultural diversity of Ridgefield while also addressing ongoing community needs like supporting students who face racial incidents in schools.
