A Change Has Got to Come – Our Prison Industrial Complex

Mike Selig, Host
One part of our society that has to change is our criminal justice system. We’ve seen too many rich white men commit financial crimes or sexual assaults and escape accountability, while the poor, and people of color have the book thrown at them.
When I started doing my research for this story, I found a thread that astounded me, it connected our current prison systems racist injustice directly back to the Post Civil War South.
The final word is: It is time to change our criminal justice system to become color blind and free of the upper-class bias that has pervaded for so long.
